First Update!!

Hello Everyone!!!
This is our first opportunity to have more than 2 minutes with internet so this is our first update! Everything is going so amazingly well! We are having a fantastic journey and are excited about what is to come! We are still with the larger team from SGF and are currently in Darjeeling, heading to Delhi tomorrow. We will be doing our third conference in Delhi and it should be our largest yet. The first two have been very effective in encouraging the local workers and recharging their “ministry batteries”. God is doing so many things through these rural workers and it was a joy to fellowship with them. Jeremy has taught several of the seminars on the foundations of youth ministry as well as basic Bib_lical interpretation. I had the privilege of doing a women’s seminar on the obstacles in evangelism, as well helping with VBS for the kids. At each of the conferences we are also doing medical clinics for the workers and their families, where it has been amazing to see how God provides just enough medicine each time for the workers that attend. Of course at each of these conferences the word gets out that doctors are in town, and the whole village attends as well. So we have seen/treated hundreds of people at both conferences! At our last conference at Eternal Light English School, the local witch doctor came for treatment. Moa (the man who runs ELES) told us her incredible story. He has been praying for this woman for some time and as a result she began to lose her power and the whole community head about it. So it was very amazing to have her come see our doctors for help since she can no longer heal herself. Please pray for her process to salvation.
The conference in Delhi will be the last one with the larger team, after which Jeremy and I will return to Kolkata for at least the next 6 weeks. In that time we are going to start a weekly program for the youth, as well as men and women’s bib_le studies hopefully. We are going to be meeting with the church leaders to share the reasons with them for why youth ministry is important and try to put a program in place that will continue long after we’re gone. From there the plan is to go to Bangla__desh. We need lots of prayer in this area because as of January 1st, India passed a new law that says if foreigner on a tourist visa leaves the country, they may not return for 2 months! This would definitely change our plans quite a bit! We already have our tickets for Bangl__adesh and a conference planned there. After that our plans were to return to Kolkata for at least another month, and then go to Sri Lanka for just 2 weeks before heading back to Kolkata for the last leg of our trip. So this is a problem! But God has a plan and we trust whatever he wants for us with this trip! We would love to stay in India for the majority of the time but if he has plans for us elsewhere please pray that it would be clear! Thank you for your prayers and support! We will be able to update again for sure in Kolkata!

P.S. It is so amazing to be a part of the many things God is doing her in India, as well as to grow so much in our faith as well! The relationships and partnerships we are developing here are lifelong and we are so thankful for your support that made this trip possible!
